The song that goes with this is For My Father by Andy Mckee. I was expecting the video to have longer timings, but it worked out well at the showcase to have a shorter time.

The Entrepreneur Showcase

This showcase was definitely what everyone had worked so hard to have the finished product for. I considered this the easy part of all of the work. We were able to just talk about everything we put together.

Throughout the night I talked to a lot of different people and I was proud of myself to know how professional I was with all of them even if I knew they were family members. My main reason for wanting to be so professional was that I had no idea what any investors looked like or who anyone from MiKE looked like. It may be embarrassing to admit but it was much easier to me to treat everyone exactly the same and in the end isn’t that essentially what you’re supposed to do?

Everyone’s projects turned out fantastic. I took a few moments away from my product to look around and I couldn’t believe what I saw. I remember being a Freshman in the program and walking around Fuse and the Senior shows and wondering how they got to where they are. Who knew I we would all become those Seniors I looked up to.

As far as comments go about my products, I surprisingly didn’t have anything negative or a question I couldn’t answer. Everyone I talked to loved the idea of being awoken in the middle of the night in case of a fire. Vivez was very relatable to the audience considering they were mostly middle aged and knew someone who was hard of hearing or admitted to starting to lose their own hearing. Students would even mention someone they knew who would need my product. Although my product is meant for people of all ages, it seemed to attract the older crowd. My favorite was an elderly woman who was so excited about Vivez, she told me all about her husband and how he needs it. Later in the night she brought him over just to prove why he needed Vivez.

They expect my product to be out in a few years. One can only hope. I never envisioned myself a business person until now. When asked the question of how dedicated I am to pursuing this product, I had to pause. The pause was only to realize that I fully support my product. It may have frustrated me at times with designing it and making a prototype, but safety is a key value that I cherish. I would love to put Vivez on the market. I have made it one of my goals over the next few years.

Almost done! There’s no room for my packaging on here. And the text on here is NOT the text I’ll be using.
